Game 1: The high ground vs Court of the seven headed serpent

 Scenario: The high ground

Opponent: The court of the seven headed serpent (Max)

Turn 1: Moving into positions

Our warriors started moving forward, but there wasn't much action in this first turn. Max teleported his hunter onto one of the objectives close to his deployment area and I moved Marie Curie onto one of the objectives closer to my deployment area.

End turn: Max 2VP - 2VP Mario

Turn 2: First blood, I shoot you, you blast me

This is when the blood started flowing. After a few shots I managed to kill Max's hunter with combined shots from Marie Curie and Lopez de Janissarie and achieved a glorious deed from killing it from a lower objective to his position: a higher objective. Unfortunately, he blasted them both with infernal magic next and Lopez was killed afterwards by Max's Praetor. Nothing else happened truly remarkable, but I am getting my troops closer to objectives. One of my cheeky Azebs is already inside the church on his way to the middle objective.

End turn: Max 2VP -2VP Mario

Turn 3: This is an objective game after all

This is when the game was looking best for me. There was some killing from both sides, including the death of Marie Curie who was pushed from the objective, by the Praetors ability, which granted him a glorious deed. However, by the end of the turn, I had 4 of the five objectives under control.

End turn: Max 0VP - 8 VP Mario

Turn 4:  Fear

Looking at the VP difference, I felt confident at the start of the game. However, that beast of a Praetor, killed three of my dudes (magic, shooting, combat...) and scored another glorious deed by pushing an azeb off an objective with his demonic power. Luckily for me, I still had 5 of 9 models on the table so I was saved from morale checks. He however, ended the turn with 3 models so had to do a morale (which he passed).

End turn: Max 0VP - 6VP Mario

Turn 5: Let's go home

Extremely fast turn. His Praetor was far from everyone to do anything meaningful and his sorcerer didn't have blood markers on the table to do his powerful spells. My sultanate warriors on the other hand, prefered to hide or stay put on the objectives. I scored the last glorious deed for winning the game.

End turn: Max 0VP - 6VP Mario
